ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Initial Program - McKinney

Course Summary:  This program follows the 2010 AHA Guidelines and is designed to prepare the healthcare provider to manage patient emergencies. The dental office is a unique environment consequently this program addresses specific issues related to this, especially with the sedated patient. Contents include, but are not limited to, airway assessment and management, applied pharmacology, physical assessment, and management of various cardiac emergencies. This limited enrollment hands-on program allows the practitioner to become the leader in management of various emergencies. Whether you provide anesthesia services or not, this program will be a valuable addition to your emergency training.  NOTE:  The ACLS course prerequisite consists of completing the AHA online component prior to the course.  Applicants will be given an access code, once they sign up for the program.  Registrations received less than one week prior to the program will not be accepted without the course director approval.
