Level 1 or Level 2
Enteral Conscious Sedation Permit Renewal Course – Combination Online &
Webcast**
|
Course Summary: This continuing education program
satisfies Rule 110 by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, and other
state dental boards, requiring that all practitioners, in order to keep their
Enteral Sedation permit current, document successful completion of a
continuing education course every two years. This course meets the
requirements for Level 1 and Level 2 re-permits. Emergency
preparation and management is extremely important in the safe management of a
non-sedated and sedated patient. In-office
preparation including required emergency practice sessions, medications and
adjunctive equipment will be discussed.
Airway management is extremely important so management during the
procedure will be shown. Course Fulfillment: This hybrid course is designed to
satisfy sedation permit renewal requirements for states requiring up to 8
hours of anesthesia specific continuing education. It will provide 8 hours as a partial
fulfillment for states requiring more than 8 hours (combination of live 4 hours
and 4 hours online preparation). Online preparatory material (4 hours) will
be sent prior to the program and need to be successfully completed prior to
the live webcast. References and additional resources will be provided with
the study modules. Reviewed/Updated July 8, 2022. |
