High-Risk Sedation Update Program - Houston
|
Course Summary: The program “Management of the High Risk Patient” is designed to
satisfy TSBDE Rule 110.16. This hybrid
program consists of online preparation, class lecture and a hands-on
component. The hands-on component will
be conducted with a combination of video observation and hands-on practice
utilizing a high-fidelity manikin. The sedation and emergency protocols
are provided to help fulfill necessary requirements and to help facilitate
patient and emergency management.
These methodologies are generalized and it's the doctor’s
responsibility to individualize management. Care and research has been taken
as much as possible. But you must
still evaluate and familiarize yourself with the material, review it for
completeness and accuracy. Any errors
or omissions need to be corrected by the user, you should also notify the
author regarding corrections. Additionally, continued hands-on practice is
imperative. By
utilizing any or all of this material, the user verifies that the material
has been properly reviewed and that the author assumes no liability nor is
liable in any manner in the utilization of the included material. PLEASE
NOTE: This is not an initial or
certifying program. The CDE activities
and information provided at this course is for continuing dental education
purposes only and is not meant to substitute for the independent judgement of
a dentist relative to diagnostic and treatment or management options of a
specific patient’s dental and medical condition. Furthermore, in the event of
an emergency, promptly seek additional help as needed. You must be current in AHA-ACLS and you MUST
