Nitrous Oxide - Oxygen Conscious Sedation ONLINE Course for Dentists - Instructions

 

Course Instructions:
1.  CALL DR. CANFIELD AT 214-384-0796 TO PAY FOR THE COURSE AND RECEIVE THE ACCESS CODE TO THE COURSE VIDEO FILES.

2.  You must take this online course first before arriving at the clinical course site. View the course material very carefully at the links below.

3.  Start the exam when you are fresh and take your time.

4.  There is no time limit on taking the exam.

5.  This course is considered an "open book" exam. You may review the videos and slides at any time as a learning aid or to check the accuracy of your responses before submitting your completed exam.

6.  Be sure to answer each exam question; if you do not answer a question, it is counted as incorrect.

7.  A minimum score of 70% is required for successful completion of this exam.

8.  The processing fee for this course entitles only one person to receive a certification of completion at the end of the clinical presentation.

9.  If you fail an on-line exam, you may retest at no additional charge until you achieve the minimum passing score of 70%.

Course Summary: This continuing education program satisfies Rule 110 by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, and other state dental boards, requiring practitioners to take a course in Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen Administration to obtain a Nitrous Oxide permit. This course will document successful completion of a continuing education course to obtain that permit. Once the permit is obtained, a practitioner does not have to take any additional Nitrous re-permit course.

Video Instructions:
Sections 1 – 9 are Camtasia files that allow you to click on a slide and then listen to Dr. Canfield present material on that subject.  You can advance down to the slide of your choosing, by just clicking on it.  Note: Your Internet Browser may take approximately 3-5 minutes to fully load the Section before you are able to advance down to a slide.
Sections 10 and 11 are video files that will display in Windows Media File (Windows users) or QuickTime (Apple users).  Apple Users may have to download a patch from the Apple site to view the Camtasia and Video files.
